Beautiful buttons
These beautiful buttons arrived in the mail last week from craft pudding:
When I bought them I had no idea what I would use them for – I just knew I had to have them. Then I found this pattern in the book I bought from the wool shop on the weekend and I figure they have a home already….well they will have as soon as I zip through the jumper I bought the wool for, duck into a wool shop somewhere in Europe and whip this new one up. It’s cute huh?

You can get buttons and the cutest little stamps from the craft pudding Esty store – but be super quick as the shop will be closed for the month of August. That’s ok – as long as it is open in January when I return for more buttons

Well Annabel, guess what? You have more than inspired me to sew something! These buttons just add to my enthusiasm!
I have two sewing machines, one really big old thing that was my mums which she gave me at my request about two years ago (my other machine was jammed). I had this urge to make beautiful tea towels … does it need to be said that I never even took the cover off her machine…..
At school I did particularly well in sewing, the teacher loved me, I have a knack for sewing really fast and straight. That’s not much good when it comes to arm holes though is it?
I remember vividly shopping with my mum for a pattern I had to take to school for what would be my ‘BIG PROJECT’. I was so excited, I picked out an Esprit pattern for a very cool vest. It worked out wonderfully and I think I got an A!
I then requested a sewing machine for my 14th birthday, I have only ever used it to hem up many pairs of pants, an expected task with any pants/jeans purchase when measuring not much over 5 feet tall.
I will drag the old machines out soon, I can feel the rumblings…those buttons you got hold of, I must have some and I must have something to sew them to, I’ll keep you posted:)
