My attempt at quick and easy…

Ok, this didn’t exactly turn into the quick and easy project I was yearning for. Well, it wasn’t exactly difficult, but it was fiddly and time consuming. I think it’s turned out nicely though. The skirt is made of grey chambray.

Check out the adjustable waist!

I’m not sure what to start on next. With only 3 weeks until the end of term I think it might be time to try to wrap up a few unfinished projects. Then I can start fresh next term. I’m looking forward to it!

Hi Annabell

I’ve been admiring your beautiful work for some time now…. I have 7 year old daughter and I’d love to make her a skirt like this. What do you use to line your skirts?

That’s such a pretty skirt. I love the colours. Girly, but not overly so. Congrats

Melinda, funny you should ask about the lining. I usually use some fine cotton that my mum has had stashed away for a quarter of a century. But this time I wasn’t concentrating and I accidentally cut into the quilters muslin I had ready to finish Hamish’s quilt. Whoops…looks like another trip to the quilting shop is in order.
